A family legacy of watchmaking. The Goldfinger story stems from our family’s passion for watchmaking, which has flourished since our humble beginnings in the 1980s and is now in the trusted hands of third generation Erb family members.

Early beginnings

Goldfinger Jewelry was founded by watchmaker Guy Erb and his wife Huguette, who opened their first jewelry store in Saint Martin in 1980 after immigrating to the French West Indies from France. Goldfinger – which takes its name from the James Bond series – was built on a strong foundation of watchmaking expertise and a desire to bring the world’s best timepieces to the Caribbean. The couple’s watchmaker son, Frederic Erb, also joined the family business, which quickly began expanding to multiple locations across the island of Saint Martin.

As the company continued to grow, Frederic became the second generation to lead Goldfinger Jewelry in the 1990s. Then, in 1998, our family business was honored to become an Official Rolex Jeweler, carrying Rolex watches in Saint Martin while also opening a new location in Saint Barthélemy that same year. In 2018, our Saint Barthélemy location was transformed into a dedicated Rolex Boutique in the heart of the marina, complete with a Rolex Authorized Service Center.

Third generation expertise

Since our founding over 40 years ago, Goldfinger Jewelry has built a family and company reputation for best-in-class timepieces and top-tier customer service. We are incredibly proud to have multiple generations of family furthering our passionate commitment to the Rolex brand and their quest for perpetual excellence. Since 2022, Goldfinger has been run by Frederic’s children, with Cecile Erb as CEO and her brother Stephen Erb serving as the Director of Client Services. Like his father – and his father before him – Stephen is also a watchmaker, and he completed his training at the Rolex Technical Institute in Nassau in 2021.
